Connect Hermes Agent to deving.zone

Add the deving.zone MCP server to Hermes Agent, then run a read-only demo on Rujira FIN and CCL data.

What you get

Find agent-ready crypto markets and services. See what they can do, what they cost, and what permissions they need before connecting.

Three free directory tools (directory_taxonomy, directory_search, directory_get) and the deving.zone data tools for THORChain and Rujira. Every tool reads. None of them signs.

Connect deving.zone /mcp

Server URL
https://deving.zone/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP

No access token needed. Leave out the Authorization header; the directory tools are free and rate-limited per IP.

1. Add the server to ~/.hermes/config.yaml

Hermes connects to remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. Add this entry under mcp_servers.

~/.hermes/config.yaml
mcp_servers:
  deving_zone:
    url: "https://deving.zone/mcp"

2. Test the connection

Hermes connects, lists the tools it found and exits.

shell
hermes mcp test deving_zone

3. Reload a running session

In an open Hermes session, run /reload-mcp, then ask which MCP-backed tools are available.

Hermes session
/reload-mcp

Hermes prefixes MCP tools with the server name, so directory_search shows up as mcp_deving_zone_directory_search.

Read-only demo: Rujira FIN and CCL

Paste these prompts in order. Each step names the deving.zone tools that answer it.

  1. Find a Rujira FIN market

Search the deving.zone Agent Directory for the Rujira FIN market and show me its record.

The agent reads the allowed filter values, searches for markets on THORChain, then fetches the record by its stable_id.

  2. List the CCL data sources

Which services provide read-only data on Rujira CCL range orders?

The Rujira CCL market record links to the services that serve its data. The agent can also search services that only have the read permission.

  3. Compare freshness and access

Compare those sources: when was each last checked, does it need auth, what does it cost, and what is it allowed to do?

Every record carries its latest checks with checked_at, a health state, evidence labels, interfaces with their auth requirement, pricing and action permissions.

    Answered by: directory_get
  4. Retrieve the data

Summarize open CCL ranges per Rujira FIN pair: count, unique owners and total value in USD.

The agent calls the deving.zone data tool directly. The numbers come from the deving.zone Rujira index.

Your agent has no signing authority here

The deving.zone /mcp server only reads. It holds no keys, asks for no wallet, and cannot sign or send a transaction. Directory listings that can execute actions say who signs in their execution_disclosure. Connecting to one of those is a separate step you take yourself.
